LOCAL FLEA MARKET
6am - 9am for early risers. An assortment of stalls from fresh local vegetables to second hand clothing, household and garden supplies. Be sure to taste the local cuisine of fry bread and mussels with cream.
GISBORNE FARMERS' MARKET
From 9.30am - 1pm every Saturday during summer there is an enticing array of fresh local produce, with juicy seasonal fruits, vegetables, fresh eggs, flowers, meat, vegetable seedlings, garden plants, jams, chutneys and a range of organically produced products. A MUST FOR CAMPERS!

STONEY HORSE TREKS
Stoney Horse Trek’s horseback adventure takes you over pine forest and native bush tracks, across farmland with high country views of the city, beaches and Young Nick's Head. Suits all levels of riding and runs seven days a week.

HIRE KAYAKS
There is plenty to do around the place with Kayaks, play around in Tatapouir Bay or fish from the reef for those with a litte less experience. For alot more adventure and skills explore the coast line north to Turihaua or around the point to Makorori to surf the waves at northerns.

LEARN TO SURF!
There are plenty of surf schools in and around Gisborne. You can learn in groups or by yourself with experienced surf instructors. Ask us here at Tatapouri by the Sea for some recommendations of who to contact.
